Victorian White Stoneware Food Stand
An ornate food stand probably used to display a ham joint or cooked meat on a grand dining table. Probably too ornate for a grocers store . Made from white ironstone an dating from the mid to late 19thC. Each corner of the base is decorated with lions heads. The plain column ends with an acanthus leaf pattern. The top has a draining hole.
Condition... The top has hairline, there is also a chip to underneath the edge. Please see pictures for more detail. Does not stop it from being used as a plate could be placed on the top.
