Pharmaceutical Pillmaker, Antique by S Maw & Son circa 1870
An antique pillmaker, found in Chemists and Pharmacies from 1870.
Made from mahogany and brass. Marked S Maw & Son GRAIN London across the brass marker on the base, also marked 6, 12, 18 & 24 to count pills.
A very tactile piece, interesting shapes and design.
Condition... We have not polished the brass as we prefer the patina but you could clean it if you prefer a polished look. The mahogany has been cleaned and polished. The little tray for catching the made pills has some losses. No other losses or damage observed. Please see picture for more details.
