Edwardian Mahogany Cake Stand

Mahogany cake stand with three circular shelves. Each shelf has the original velvet in the centre, although the pile has worn, in a now pale green. The carrying handle is in the shape of a heart and this finishes of with an acorn finial. Originally used in big houses or restaurants to display a selection of cakes. I have seen them used to display your favourite pieces of glass or china and even in bathrooms to hold toiletries! The registration number on the label denotes the year 1905

In good solid condition. Does not fold.
