Bone Handled, French, Ham Bone Holder
Ingenious piece of cutlery, a ham bone holder to help you carve your ham roast. Could easily be used for lamb leg roasts too. Made in France circa late 19thC. It has a bone handle and silver plated fittings. The screw bears the words EG DEPOSE meaning that this design was registered in France. A screw fitting just slips over the end of the bone and you tighten it in place allowing you to safely carve your roast.
Condition... Shows age related wear, no damage and works efficiently. Lovely patina to the handle. Please see pictures for more details.
