Victorian Decoupage Brush 1897, Silver Topped, Glass Based, Hallmarked London
The Victorians had tools for everything!! This rather unique item is a decoupage brush, decoupage was a great past time for the Victorian. Bristle brush sits on top of a hallmarked silver collar above a glass pot which held the glue. The base of the pot is star cut. The silver collar is London hallmarked 1897 the manufactureris John Grinsell & Son. The reg. number is for 1897.
The silver top unfortunately seems to be stuck to the glass base.
